Ford Shoppers Find Top Safety Picks at Quincy Area Ford Dealer

Cole Story Ford serving Quincy Ford shoppers invites area residents to experience the Ford Flex and Ford Fusion, two vehicles that have earned Top Safety Pick recognition from the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS).

Ford has earned 11 Top Safety Pick ratings for 2010 model vehicles from IIHS – the most of any automaker. In addition, the Flex and Fusion have earned five-star safety ratings from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA).

The 2010 Ford Flex and 2010 Ford Fusion earned not only top possible scores for occupant protection in IIHS’s front, side and rear tests, but also passed a new roof strength test to maintain the rating. Both vehicles also offer electronic stability control, another requirement for Top Safety Pick vehicles.  Ford has also had the fewest number of vehicle defects among all full-line manufacturers during the first three months of ownership.

With automotive safety a key feature for all consumers, Cole Story Ford is pleased to announce these top awards to Quincy Ford shoppers and to reaffirm Ford’s commitment to continuous improvement on the safety front.

These latest findings from the IIHS complement a first-quarter study conducted for Ford by RDA Group of Bloomfield Hills, Mich., which revealed that 84% of customers who purchased a 2010 Ford, Lincoln and Mercury car or truck say they are satisfied with the vehicle’s quality.
